MyoCorrect and VivosAire FAQ
What changes can I expect in comparison to how I might have done things in the past?
Moving forward, in order to start a new patient in MyoCorrect therapy and/or an initial appliance system, a completed treatment plan for the patient will need to be completed and saved on VivosAire.
What specifically about the treatment plan section is required for MyoCorrect enrollment and/or initial appliance system orders?
In order to set up a treatment plan, the following sections must be completed:
- Patient’s Chief Complaints
- Diagnosis
- Treatment Objectives
- Treatment Plan
What about mid-treatment appliance orders? Will I need to create and update a treatment plan if it did not already exist?
This is not a requirement of the system, but it is highly recommended.
Why is the system preselecting a MyoCorrect plan?
Based on your diagnosis, if it meets eligibility criteria for either plan, the system will assume you plan to follow The Vivos Method. At the time of Rx, you may change that plan or opt out from MyoCorrect as a part of your order if you choose.
Eligible patients who are diagnosed with the following eligible conditions will generally be recommended for the following MyoCorrect Plans:
MyoCorrect
The default selection, unless something applies for the MyoCorrect+ plan or the patient is ineligible for MyoCorrect.
MyoCorrect+
If the patient is diagnosed with any of the following, it will suggest this plan:
- AHI greater than or equal to 15
- Diagnosis > TMD
- Diagnosis > Tongue-Tie
- Diagnosis > Lip-Tie
The treatment provider will ultimately decide which plan is best for the patient.
What patient information will I need to provide to enroll a patient into either MyoCorrect plan?
For patients 18 years or older at the time of enrollment, the patient’s email and phone number information will be required to enroll.
For patients 17 years and younger at the time of patient enrollment, the parent or guardian’s phone and email information will be required. The patient’s contact information is optional.
After MyoCorrect enrollment, what’s the next step?
Please work with your patient to schedule their first one-hour consultation with a MyoCorrect advisor from the link you receive in the email immediately after you enroll the patient in VivosAire.
Additionally, a MyoCorrect tool kit will be sent out to the office, not the patient. We recommend that you have a stock of these on hand to send home with the patient at the time of their enrollment and to have it ready at the time of their first evaluation.
Can I change MyoCorrect plans after enrollment?
Yes. At this time, please contact the help desk or the MyoCorrect advisor your patient is working with, and they can assist you.
Tune in next week for more information on how you can enroll your patients.
